Paper tells you nothing after it leaves your hand.

The difference

What the paper one actually does.

Nothing here is unfair to print. It is simply what a fixed object does when the information on it stops being true.

A box of five hundred printed cards

  • Reprinted the day anybody's job title changes
  • Sits in a jacket pocket until it goes through the wash
  • Your email typed in by hand, with one letter wrong
  • No idea whether it was ever looked at again
  • You are out of them at the one event that mattered

A card that lives on their phone

  • Edited once, correct everywhere, immediately
  • Saved into contacts before they leave the room
  • Every field filled in by the phone, not by a person
  • Views, saves and taps, from the very first scan
  • You cannot run out of it

Start to finish

Scan. Tap. Saved.

About four seconds from someone raising their phone to your details sitting in their address book, with no app on either side.

  1. 01

    Build it once

Name, role, numbers, socials, a photograph and a cover image. It takes about four minutes.

  2. 02

    Show the code

On your phone, in your email signature, on a badge, or printed on a stand at an event.

  3. 03

    They scan

The stock camera on any iPhone or Android opens it. No download, no sign up, nothing to explain.

  4. 04

    It saves itself

One tap writes a full contact card into their phone, with every field where the phone expects it.

Every card below is the real template, rendered by the same component that renders your live card. Not a picture of one. Change the colours, the fonts and the cover, or paste your own HTML.

What is included

Everything the paper one could not do.

All of it works on the card you make in the first four minutes. There is nothing to enable afterwards.

QR and NFC, no app

The stock camera reads it on iOS and Android. Write the same link to an NFC tag and a tap does exactly the same thing.

Change it after you hand it out

New number, new title, new company. Edit once and every link and printed code you have already given away shows the new details.

Saved, not screenshotted

A proper contact file goes into the address book with name, numbers, email, website, socials and photo. Not a picture of a card they will never find again.

Your own domain

card.yourcompany.com instead of somebody else's brand on your card. Two DNS records, and the certificate is handled for you.

Whole team, one dashboard

Generate cards for five hundred staff from a spreadsheet, lock the template so the branding holds, and switch a card off the day someone leaves.

22 templates, or your own HTML

Pick one and change the colours, fonts and cover. Or paste your own HTML and CSS and we will render exactly that, with your fields substituted in.

The moment that matters

One tap, and you are in their contacts.

Not a screenshot buried in a camera roll. A real contact file, with every field where the phone expects it, so your name comes up when they search for you six months later and cannot remember your company.

  • Works with the stock camera on iOS and Android, with nothing installed
  • Photograph, role and company travel with the phone number
  • Saved offline, so it does not stop working in a basement or on a plane
  • No account needed by the person receiving it, ever
Someone scanning a QR code with a phone camera

Off the screen

Printed once, changed whenever.

Put the code on a badge, a stand, a shopfront or the back of the paper card you already have. Because the destination stays editable, printing stops being a decision you have to live with for a year.

  • SVG for print and PNG for screens, from the same card
  • Scans are counted exactly like link opens, in the same dashboard
  • Repoint it without reprinting anything
  • Works on an NFC tag or a metal card just as well
Open the QR generator

cards.gc.mw/rajiv

On three hundred badges. Retitled twice since printing.

For a team

Five hundred cards, one afternoon.

Upload a spreadsheet and everybody gets a card on the house template. Lock the layout so nobody invents their own version, and switch a card off the day somebody leaves rather than hoping the old ones stop circulating.

  • Bulk generation from a CSV, in one pass
  • One template enforced across the whole organisation
  • Deactivate a card without deleting the record behind it
  • Analytics per card, and a roll-up across the team

Is this for me

Three people who kept losing the introduction.

A doctor seeing forty patients a day

A doctor seeing forty patients a day

Paper cards went missing between the consulting room and the car park, so repeat bookings came through the switchboard or not at all.

The number is saved under her name before the patient leaves the room.

A broker working from the pavement

A QR on the yard sign. The contact saves itself while they are still standing there.

Two hundred printed cards became wrong overnight, along with the email format on all of them.

One edit on a Tuesday afternoon, and every card already handed out was correct by the evening.

Straight comparison

Against paper, and against a metal card.

Metal NFC cards are lovely objects. They are also a printed object with a fixed link, which is the part worth thinking about before you buy fifty.

One story in full

Two hundred cards, obsolete in an afternoon.

The rebrand landed on a Tuesday. Every printed card we had was suddenly wrong: old logo, old domain, old email format. We changed the template once and by that evening every card anyone had already handed out was showing the new details. The printed box went into the recycling and we never ordered another.

Underneath

Opens fast, on whatever they are holding.

A card that takes four seconds to load is a card nobody waits for. The whole thing is built around that one number.

No app, either side

The stock camera reads the code and the card opens in the browser. Nothing is installed by anybody.

NFC as well as QR

Write the link to any tag or metal card. Both keep working after an edit.

Print ready output

SVG at any size, so the code survives being blown up onto a stand or a hoarding.

Your number on your terms

Reveal a phone number only on request, if you would rather not publish it outright.

The awkward questions

What you publish, and what you keep back.

A business card is public by design, which makes the controls around it worth understanding before you make one.

Phone reveal on request

Publish the card without publishing the number. It is shown only when someone asks for it.

Deactivate, do not delete

Switch a leaver's card off while keeping the record and its history intact for the organisation.

Your data comes out

Cards and their analytics export on demand. Nothing is held hostage if you decide to leave.

Account security

Two factor authentication and magic links on the account, because the card is only as safe as the login behind it.

Fits what you already carry

Share it however you already share things.

The card is a link. Anywhere a link goes, the card goes with it.

WhatsApp
Email signature
LinkedIn
NFC tag
Printed QR
Apple and Google Contacts
People meeting at a conference

You already have printed cards

Do not throw the box away.

The fastest way to start is to keep using what you have already paid for, with one addition.

  1. Make the card first
Four minutes, on the free plan, with no card details. You will have a working link and a QR code at the end of it.
  2. Put the code on what you have
A sticker on the back of the existing paper cards works, and costs almost nothing.
  3. Add it to your signature
Most of the first scans come from email rather than from meeting anyone, which is the part people underestimate.
  4. Reprint only when you run out
By then you will know whether the digital one is doing the work, and the next print run can carry the code properly.

Pricing

Start free. Pay when it earns its keep.

The card is sold on its own or included with a plan. Billed yearly, cancel whenever, and the free plan does not expire.

Before you ask

Questions people actually ask.

Does the other person need an app?

No. They point their phone camera at the QR code, and the built-in camera on any iPhone or Android reads it and opens your card in the browser. Saving it to their contacts is one more tap. Nothing is installed on either side.

What happens when I change my number or job?

You edit your card and it is done. The link and the QR code never change, so every card you have already shared, every badge you have printed and every email signature you have sent out shows the new details immediately.

Is it really free?

Yes. The free plan gives you one digital business card, starter templates and a public link, with no card details required. Paid unlocks all 22 templates, custom HTML, analytics and removal of our badge.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Point a CNAME at us, add one TXT record to verify ownership, and your cards live on card.yourcompany.com with a certificate we manage. It is a paid add-on on personal plans and included on the team plan.

Can I run cards for my whole team?

Yes. One dashboard holds every card in the organisation. Generate them in bulk from a spreadsheet, force a single template so the branding stays consistent, and deactivate a card the day somebody leaves.

Does it work with an NFC card?

Yes. Write your card's link to any NFC tag or metal card and a tap opens the same page as the QR code. Both keep working after you edit your details, which is the thing a printed metal card cannot do on its own.

Can I design the card myself?

Yes. Start from one of the 22 templates and change the colours, fonts and cover, or paste your own HTML and CSS and we will render exactly that, with your fields substituted in and the QR code, contact download and analytics all still working.

What is the difference between this and a bio page?

A card is built to be saved into a phone as a contact. A bio page is built to send people onward to your links. They share the same name and the same analytics, and plenty of people use both.

Your last box of paper cards has already been printed.

Build the one that updates itself, reports back, and is always in your pocket. Free to start, about four minutes to finish.

No credit card. Free forever plan. Cancel anytime.
