Where these numbers come from
- Domain floor is the length of the suffix a local registrant actually uses, plus one character of name. It is the shortest a domain in that country could ever be, and it is arithmetic on a string.
- One message is computed, not looked up. A real word of the tightest local language is run through the GSM 03.38 alphabet. If every character is in it the answer is 160, otherwise the message goes out as UCS-2 and the answer is 70.
- UTC day turns is the local clock time at which the analytics day rolls over, derived from the country standard offset. Rollups are keyed to the UTC day, so this is when a click stops counting towards today.
- No page here carries a market-share figure, a user count or a testimonial. Those would need a source and a date, and a number nobody can check is worth less than no number at all.
Countries are missing from this list on purpose. A page exists where the registry, the calling code, the currency and the language could all be stated without guessing. Where they could not, there is no page.
