A generated .vcf is a snapshot. Everything in it is fixed at the moment you made it, and so is any QR code that encodes it directly. Change your number and every printed copy is wrong, with nothing you can do about it except reprint.
That is not a limitation of this product, it is what a contact QR is. The fix is indirection: point the QR at a card page instead of at the contact data, so the details behind it can be edited later while the printed code stays valid.

What free covers on a hosted card
A card page carries a small made-with line at the bottom on the free tier, and paid plans remove it. Everything else about the card is the same: the templates, the QR, the contact download and the option to hide your phone number behind a reveal step.
Print advice worth more than the tool
Two centimetres across is the minimum for arm's-length scanning, larger for anything on a wall. Keep a clear margin of four modules around the code. Use the SVG rather than the PNG for anything going to a printer, because a resized bitmap is where most unscannable codes come from.
Test the printed proof with two different phones before approving a run. It costs five minutes and saves the whole batch.
